My 19yr. niece as hidradenitis suppurativa. Are you familiar with this and treatment?

We are looking for a doctor to treat her and help her with this problem. It is very painful and she has been unable to find help with it in the area she lives in. Thank you.

Thanks for your question! I am very familiar with hidradenitis suppurativa and treat quite a few patients with this condition. It can certainly be a very problematic condition, especially for a young woman. Fortunately, we do have effective treatments. I would encourage her to see a dermatologist. We would be happy to care for her.
