Rash after medication
I am experiencing a rash after taking a medication and it is spreading. I am taking Benadryl and it is still spreading. What should I do now?

Many medications can cause a rash. Typically those rashes resolve once the offending medication is discontinued. It could also be possible that your rash was not caused by medications and has another cause. For example, we not uncommonly see patients referred in for rashes caused by antibiotics, but after a thorough examination determine that the rash is due to the underlying infection and not the medication. It is not possible to make an accurate diagnosis without actually seeing the rash. We would be happy to see you in the office.
