Ask the Doc
21 yr. old with severe acne
My daughter is in college and has severe acne. She's been on prescription oral medicines, cleansing pads, and creams; they may work for a short time, but then nothing. She has always been active and outgoing, but now as she told me she doesn't want to be seen. We thought if she could find a doctor there who cared and could truly help her we need to do so.

Elizabeth Anderson Responds:

Thanks for your question. Acne can be very difficult for young women (and men) to deal with both physically and emotionally. We can usually get acne under control using a consistent combination of oral and topical medications. I hope she hasn't given up on getting help. Please call the office for an appointment or she can schedule an appointment online.
